Biography

I was born and raised in Spain. I moved to the US in 2011 to teach elementary and advanced Spanish at the University of Michigan and decided to pursue an MA in Hispanic Linguistics at the University of Illinois at Chicago a year later. I transferred to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to complete a PhD in Spanish Linguistics in the Fall of 2014. I'm currently working on my dissertation that focuses on assessing the effects of language instruction in foreign and heritage language learners using different outcome measures and eye-tracking.
