Study Abroad - Spanish Program

halloween Barcelona 2017Four programs exist for which coursework is aligned directly to our curricular needs and for which there are pre-approved ourses. In Spain you can choose among Barcelona, Granada, and Bilbao. In Latin America we have programs in San Joaquín de Flores, Costa Rica and Quito, Ecuador*. The LAS-SP program in Barcelona is advised by the Spanish advisor, Ms Tasha Robles. Spanish majors and minors participating in the other programs listed here are academically advised by Ms. Tasha Robles, and for all other matters should contact Illinois Abroad and Global Exchange (Ms. Claire Bryan) and LAS (Mr. Kelly White).

Departmental scholarships for study abroad are available.

Other study abroad programs in Spanish-speaking countries are not evaluated directly by Spanish faculty and therefore credit is not guaranteed.

Students who need a Spanish language assessment by a Spanish faculty member for their study-abroad application can contact Dr. Pilar Martínez-Quiroga at pquiroga@illinois.edu.
