CATALAN 401. Introduction to the Catalan language and culture. Part of class time will be dedicated to communicating in Catalan using the structures and vocabulary covered in the textbook. You will be introduced to the funda-mental communication skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as to cultural and historical aspects of some of the Catalan-speaking areas.
